Grades 5 and 6 students continue to work cooperatively in small groups to solve mathematical problems. We are proud to present the winners of this month’s challenge, with a tie for the second and third places. Congratulations to all!

STARS of the month for December

FASP Stars of the month demonstrate excellent behavior inside and outside the classroom, are well mannered, have a positive attitude toward others and toward learning, and are respectful to both peers and adults. Students of the month display excellent citizenship by aligning themselves with the FASP school-wide expectations of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety and consistently strive to achieve academic success.  Lastly, students of the month show exemplary character through their positive and caring attitude towards their community and the environment.

Galettes des rois in Maternelle

Students in Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten prepared their own “galettes des rois” in class yesterday, and ate them this afternoon. Such an exciting moment!

PA Coffee break and Galettes des rois

The first Coffee break of 2017 hosted by the Parents Association was well attended this morning! The traditional French “Galettes des rois” served were delicious. It was a pleasure to mingle and enjoy the moment together.

Lots of books to enrich our two libraries, thank you all!

We wanted to thank all the parents and those in charge from the Parents Association who offered another wonderful Book Fair at Barnes and Noble this year. We are happy to announce that a total of $1400 was raised, permitting us to purchase lots of books. A big thanks also to all the families who bought a book to donate to the school!

Maternelle: Winter Celebration

The past few weeks, students in Preschool and Kindergarten have been actively learning a lot about Winter through various activities. Yesterday, they performed cheerful seasonal songs, and invited their parents to eat and drink delicious “brioches” and hot cocoa they prepared!

The International MarCom Awards 2016 presented FASP with the Gold Trophy

The International MarCom Awards 2016 presented the French American School of Princeton with the Gold Trophy for the quality of its Direct Mail “Nothing Uniform About Us”. This postcard was created by the Maestro Communications agency for the purpose of inviting families to the School’s Open House, while insisting on the singularity of the bilingual institution. Corinne Güngör, Head of School, received the news with great pride: “It is the recognition of a well-executed project”.

In total, more than 6,000 participants from the United States, Canada and 34 other countries were competing in various categories. Considered one of the world’s most important and respected competitions, MarCom Awards is headed by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP). The Gold Award recognizes works that surpass industry standards of excellence.

First Tennis Table Competition

The first tennis table competition between teachers and Middle School students was held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday last week! It’s been a wonderful experience, a great way to encourage physical activity and create a healthy and friendly competitive environment on campus. Congratulations to the winners!

Grades 1-8: Winter Celebration

Elementary and Middle School students performed Winter-related songs this morning to celebrate the holiday season with all its snow, dressing up for the cold, sleighing, etc.
