Fundraising events and activities help us keep our shelves full of new books. Over the summer, we were able to add more than 250 new books to our library shelves! These new books allow our students access to the latest titles and the most up-to-date information on many topics. We are extremely grateful to the FASP Parents’ Association for their generous contribution to our libraries.

Music is a key component of every culture and serves as a way for people to connect with each other. Over the summer, we expanded our music program by acquiring new musical instruments for all our students in Maternelle, Elementary and Middle Schools.
With the generous support of the FASP-Parents’ Association, we purchased percussion sets, djembes, xylophones, keyboards and harps to develop and enhance the musical experience of all our students:

We wanted to thank all the parents and those in charge from the Parents Association who offered another wonderful Book Fair at Barnes and Noble this year. We are happy to announce that a total of $1400 was raised, permitting us to purchase lots of books. A big thanks also to all the families who bought a book to donate to the school!
Our next big event is the Barnes & Noble Book Fair. Come out and support FASP on Saturday, December 3rd between 10AM and 5PM!
The book fair is a fun, family event sponsored by the Parents’ Association. 15% of sales made using the book fair ID 11998515 goes towards our school. Plus, families have a chance to donate books for our school libraries too.
What can I buy at the Barnes & Noble FASP Book Fair?
Anything you’d expect to see at a book store: books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Consider purchasing a book from the school’s wish list to be donated to the school library for all students to use. Toys and games: B&N has a wide variety of toys and educational games for kids through age 12, including a good selection of Lego sets. Coffee, tea, snacks and lunch: The café at the book store offers a full café menu. The school will earn the rewards from food purchases, too. Cheesecakes: The B&N café sells cheesecakes and apple pies from the Cheesecake Factory, perfect for holiday parties. You can use the attached cake order form to pre-order your cake or pie. Just remember to order between December 3-8 for us to get the discount. You can arrange to have it picked up any time before December 31 at the café.
B&N gift cards are also available.
What if I can’t be at the Book Fair on December 3rd?
You can still participate by making your purchases online at www.bn.com from December 3 – December 8. When you check out, please reference the FASP Book fair ID 11998515
Please tell your friends and family to stop by on December 3 or shop online using the code. Attached is a coupon to pass around.
Remember to wear your FASP T-Shirts!
Since the beginning of October, FASP has two newly renovated libraries thanks to the generous donations made through the 15th Anniversary Gala and various fundraising actions run by the Parents’ Association last year.
The Grades 1-8 library is a large, light-filled space with comfortable seating areas and desks offering space for individual reading and collaborative learning and research. The library is well stocked with thousands of books carefully selected to cater for all ages and interests. Our librarian seeks to inspire in students a lifelong love of reading and to support teachers into the learning environment.
Every year, the FASP community gathers to kick-off the school year with a fun, family-friendly picnic. Students, siblings, parents, and caregivers met to make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and ring in the new year with food and outdoor fun. Thanks to the FASP Parents’ Association for organizing the picnic!
FASP, the Parents’ Association and the Yearbook Committee are very excited to announce that we have chosen a NEW Yearbook company this year: Treering!
TreeRing is a technology company based in Silicon Valley, CA that provides an innovative and environmentally-friendly approach to the traditional yearbook industry. In keeping with the school’s support of technological innovation, and environmental awareness, this publisher offers a totally new concept in yearbooks:
- For every yearbook sold, TreeRing will plant a tree.
- All yearbooks are gorgeously printed in full color on recycled paper.
- The volunteer yearbook staff creates all but two pages of the book: these two pages are yours to customize for your child. The book you receive is the one you personalize… for no extra cost!
- Ease of purchasing online or via iPhone/Android apps.
Here is a short video that introduces you to TreeRing:
Parents should have received today an email from the Yearbook Committee providing instructions on how yearbooks can be purchased. Check it out today!
