French American School of Princeton is seeking a part-time STEM teacher for grades 1-8 (subject taught in English) for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Join our dynamic team at the French American School of Princeton as we seek a passionate and dedicated part-time STEM teacher for students ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 8. We are looking for candidates with a strong quantitative background and a commitment to fostering an innovative and engaging learning environment.

No French language knowledge required as the subject is taught in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging STEM curricula that inspire curiosity and exploration.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Administer and evaluate formative and summative assessments to measure student progress.
  • Utilize various educational technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Create hands-on learning activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide support to students, addressing their strengths and challenges.
  • Foster a culture of inquiry and collaboration in the classroom.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student growth.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Knowledge of STEM best practices and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong classroom management skills to create a safe and productive learning environment.

French American School of Princeton is seeking a part-time Music teacher for grades KG-8 (subject taught in English) for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

French American School of Princeton is seeking a dynamic and passionate Elementary and Middle School Music Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, a commitment to fostering a love for music in students, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Instrumental Instruction: Provide instruction in various musical instruments, fostering both individual and ensemble skills. Develop and conduct rehearsals for school performances.
  2. Vocal training: Cultivate vocal abilities in students through effective vocal instruction. Organize and lead choir rehearsals, preparing students for performances and events.
  3. Classroom management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for music and encourages student participation and creativity.
  4. Performance Planning: Coordinate and organize musical performances, concerts, and recitals, showcasing students' talents and achievements. Collaborate with other educators to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects.
  5. Assessment and feedback: Evaluate students' progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' musical development.
  6. Professional Development: Stay current with trends and best practices in music education. Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies.
  7. Equipment and Resource Management: Manage and maintain music instruments, equipment, and resources. Assist in the selection and acquisition of new instruments and materials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience in elementary and middle school music education is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
